solardome logo

Solardome, LLC is an organization that is researching the possibility of bringing the largest solar project of our time to fruition…the installation of solar panels on top of the New Orleans Superdome. This is the brain child of New Orleans entrepreneur and independent film-maker, Travis Laurendine. We worked very closely with Travis to design the Solardome logo you see above.

You will notice the logo contains the following characteristics:

  • Of course, we have the New Orleans Superdome to the left of the logo as it merges with the typography.
  • We chose an orange and red color first as you read the logo from left to right to symbolize the energy and power that solar panels can bring to the community. (Both in a literal sense and in an economic and environmental development sense.)
  • Then, the energy turns into the greenish color that flourishes into plants you will see towards the right part of the logo. This idea demonstrates that the energy can blossom new growth in the New Orleans community.

LOMCSA / LOMALINE

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008

The Louisiana Oil Marketers and Convenience Store Association’s LOMALINE is a quarterly magazine which is a theme based design custom created to the client’s specifications. The magazine was designed to easily showcase the highlights of the quarter. However, the main goal of the LOMALINE is to inform the 300+ members of the association on a wide variety of current happenings in the oil, gas and convenience store industry.

Gatorworks provided the custom logo head and cover design for each magazine. We also provided photography to coincide with the client-provided images, copy, and advertisements. Feel free to visit the LOMCSA website to find out more about the professional organization at www.lomcsa.com.
