Our Process
Our firm believes in doing business in a methodical, systematic manner in which we break down the design process into five main steps. Our systematic approach does not detract from our personable way of doing business, but instead it ensures a design that brings you the utmost quality while staying within your timeframe and budget.
Our process is as follows:
Step 1: Client Analysis
Our process always begins with a thorough analysis of our client’s current situation and future goals. It is our goal to fully understand the business problems and complete expectations of our client.
Step 2: Plan
During this stage of the process, we suggest a specific technology to solve the specific needs for the client. We begin to gather materials for the web project and assist the client in organizing their ideas and expectations. GW will develop an Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) or a simple site schematic that will visually show the specific way in which the information system will operate.
Step 3: Design
The design phase of our process is when our team of creative designers begin designing the interface of your web development project. We often provide two design mockups, or graphical representations, for our clients to choose. Based on the edits of the client we can make revisions to the design layout until it fits the design specifications. GW is often praised for our quick turn-around time, as most project designs are presented to the client within two weeks.
Step 4: Coding
This phase of the design process is key because a “pretty” web site does not always mean it is functional. We ensure web site usability and take pride in developing web sites that abide by web design standards as well as 508 standards compliance. Step 5: Testing & Deployment
The final stage in the web design process involves testing the web project on a development server before transferring the site to the specific domain name. Any final edits are implemented and the site is deployed at the client’s unique web site address. GW offers an assortment of web hosting plans for those clients who do not yet have a domain name reserved or email accounts set up. We also provide consulting services that assist our clients in marketing their web sites via the web.
